Tarter Proud Team: Quality Department

Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment is a family owned company with strong leadership and passionate employees. We met up with some of the Tarter Proud Team – our Quality Department. This team is responsible for making sure our product is inspected before it leaves the lot and reviewing all warranty claims as they are received.

Check out what they had to say and see what makes them Tarter Proud!

What were the thoughts you had on your first day at Tarter?

It was very eye opening and raised my curiosity to see all the different parts and procedures.

It’s a pleasure working with the employees. It’s a family atmosphere that likes to have fun, but are very serious, passionate and committed to their work.

Overwhelmed, the company was a lot larger than I thought.

Why do you enjoy working for Tarter?

Working for a family owned business is different than working for some of the bigger manufacturers. Different in a good way.

I like the family owned and ran atmosphere. We all have value and input here. No matter where I travel to when I see one of our many products it makes me smile to think I may have played a part in that product being useful to end user. From raw steel coming in the back door to a gate hanging on a post or a disc mower out in the field cutting. Pretty neat!

I grew up on a farm and have used most of the products we make, so I enjoy being on the quality and manufacturing end of the business.

The friendships made with fellow employees.

What is your most memorable moment at Tarter?

The day I was hired!

Being part of building my first set of Bucking Chutes!

Not sure I can just pick one because it seems like each day has something new and challenging.

Impromptu truck rides with a Tarter. You never know what to expect, but guaranteed to be educational. Thoroughly enjoy them.
