Approximately 2% of the American population are farmers and the average age of American farmers is 58. Agricultural Education courses bridge the generational gap between students and farmers. During class students learn valuable information about the major role agriculture plays in our daily lives. Not only do students learn about agriculture, food sources and natural resources, they also gain pertinent skills to prepare them for the future.
