Preserving Your Fresh Cut Flowers

“I must have flowers, always, and always.” Claude Monet

Are you planning on cutting fresh flowers from your Tarter planter this summer? We have compiled a list of some tips and tricks that we have heard or read about over the years. Hopefully they will help you keep your flowers fresh so you can enjoy them just a bit longer.

  • Cut stems at an angle. This will help your plants absorb water more easily.
  • Spray a little bit of hairspray on the flower.
  • Crush an aspirin and put it in the water before adding your flowers.
  • Do not place your flowers in direct sunlight.
This Tarter Farm and Ranch Horse Bunk Feeder has been turned into a beautiful planter.

Please note, these are suggestions and have not been tested by Tarter.
